Welcome to the Country Guide, ERV’s information resource. The country guide has been developed over a number of years, and every country has its own page with information on the risk situation, important facts and useful information for your trip. Only available in Swedish.

Our service network

Our Euro-Center service offices around the world provides emergency assistance for travellers. The staff speak at least one Scandinavian language, as well as the local language. They also have a great deal of local knowledge, and know what to expect from doctors and hospitals in the region.

    Leisure traveler

    Because of the security situation the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against travel to Egypt, except for transit through Cairo International Airport and the turist areas at the Rea Sea Coast.

    Corporate traveler

    ERVs risk analysts regards the entire country as a risk area but advises especially from travel to Northern Sinai.

    Due to the security situation in Ukraine the Swedish ministry of foreign affairs are advising against non-essential travel to the country.

    Corporate traveler

    Due to the security situation ERVs risk analysts are also advising against travel to all of Ukraine.

    Leisure traveler

    Due to the security situation, Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is advicing against travel to the region Extrême-Nord and travel to areas within 40 km from the borders of Nigeria, Chad and Central African Republic.

    Corporate traveler

    There are no restrictions for travel to Congo from ERV's risk analysts.

    Leisure traveler

    Due to the security situation, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is advising against all travel to Mindanao and the Sulu Archipelago.

    Further the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is advising against all non-essential travel to the provinces Aklan (except for Bocarcy), Samar, Leyte, Iloilo, Capiz and the areas north of Carmen on the island Cebu and also the Calamian Islands.

    Corporate traveler

    ERV's risk analysts are advising against travel to Jolo and regard Basilan, Mindanao the Sulu Archipelago as risk areas.

  • Saudi Arabia

    There are no restrictions for travel to Saudi Arabia from the Swedish Ministry for Foreign Affairs.

    ERV's risk analysts regard the border areas with Yemen as a risk area.

  • Mauritania

    Due to the security situation, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is advising against travel to Mauritania.

    ERVs risk analysts regards the regions bordering on Morocco, Algeria and Mali as risk areas.

    Due to the security situation the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is advising against all travel to the southwestern regions Dix-Huit Montagnes, Haut-Sassandra, Moyen-Cavally and Bas-Sassandra. 

    Corporate traveler

    ERVs risk analysts regards the regions Bas Cassandra, Montagnes and Moyen
    Cavally as risk areas.
  • Burundi

    Remember that your insurance may have limits when you're travelling in risk areas. Please see the table below for more information.

    Leisure traveler

    Due to the security situation the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is advising against travel to the whole country except the capital Bujumbura.

    Corporate traveler

    ERVs risk analysts regard the entire Burundi as a risk area but advises especially from travel to the provinces of Bujumbura (not capital), Bubanza and Cibitoke.

    Due to the security situation,  the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is advising against all travel to the Saleh area in Algeria.

    ERV's risk analysts regard the whole country, except major cities as a risk area.

  • Lebanon

    Remember that your insurance may have limits when you're travelling in risk areas. Please see the table below for more information.

    Leisure traveler

    Due to the security situation the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs is advising against travel to the Syrian border, including Arsal, Hermel and Wadi Khaled.

    They also advice against trips to the Tripoli area, Southern Lebanon south of the river Litani, palestinian refugee camps, The Bekaa Valley and Beiruts southern suburbs and Dahiyeh, except for the international airport and the highway leading to the airport.

    Corporate traveler

    ERV's risk analysts are advising against travel to the Tripoli area, the Syrian border and all Palestinian refugee camps.

    In addition ERV's risk analysts regard the area between the Israeli border and the Litani
    River as well as the Bekaa Valley and all urban areas as risk areas.
