Welcome to the Country Guide, ERV’s information resource. The country guide has been developed over a number of years, and every country has its own page with information on the risk situation, important facts and useful information for your trip. Only available in Swedish.

Our service network

Our Euro-Center service offices around the world provides emergency assistance for travellers. The staff speak at least one Scandinavian language, as well as the local language. They also have a great deal of local knowledge, and know what to expect from doctors and hospitals in the region.

Risk area

  • Nigeria

    Due to the security situation, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs are advising against all travel to Abia, Bayelsa, Delta, Akwa Ibom, Rivers including Part Harcourt, Yobe and Borno.

    The Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs also advise against travel to Plateau, Bauchi, Kebbi, Sokoto, Zamfara, Niger, Kaduna, Katsina, Kano, Jigawa, Gombe, Adamawa och Taraba and Imo.

    ERV's risk analysts advise against travel to states of Akwa Ibom, Bauchi, Bayelsa, Delta, Gombe, Kaduna, Kano and Plateau and the border area of Niger.

  • Malaysia

    Due to the security situation, Swedish Foreign Ministry and ERVs risk analyst advise leisure travelers against travel to the districts: Tawau, Semporna, Kunak, Lahad Datu, Kinabatangan and Sandakan in Sabah (East Borneo).

  • Central African Republic

    Due to the security situation, the Swedish ministry of foreign affairs advise against all travel to the Central African Republic.

  • Egypt

    Because of the security situation in northern Sinai, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs advises against non-essential travel north of the road that runs between Suez and Taba, including trips along the road. Cities of Suez and Taba and Taba airport are not included.

    ERVs risk analysts also regard North Sinai governorate and South Sinai governorate, except the coast and tourist areas along the Red Sea (including Sharm el Sheikh airport) as risk areas.

  • Turkey

    Due to the security situation, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs are advising against non-essential travel within the immediate border area with Syria.

    ERV's risk analysts also regard the provinces bordering on Iran and Iraq (Van, Hakkâri och Sirnak) and the south east provinces Tuncelli, Bingöl and Diyarbakir as risk areas.

  • Iran

    Due to the security situation, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs regard the Sistan-Baluchistan province as a risk area.

  • Eritrea

    Due to the security situation, Swedish Foreign Ministry and ERVs risk analyst advise leisure travelers against travel to the eritrean border areas to Etiopia and Dijibouti within 20 kilometers from the border.

    ERV's risk analysts regard the border to Sudan as a risk area for leisure travelers and corporate travelers with a corporate travel insurance from ERV.

  • Mali

    Due to the security situation, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs are advising against all travel to  Mali. 

     

  • Kenya

    Due to the security situation, the Swedish Ministry of Foreign Affairs and ERV's risk analysts are advising against all travel to parts of Kenya.
