Fiji
Översikt
Fiji has a strong political position within the South Pacific region but is beset by internal political instability triggered by a history of military coups. Despite this, Fiji remains a popular tourist destination. In December 2006, the Republic of Fiji Military Forces (RFMF) overthrew the democratically elected government and set up a military controlled interim government that remained in place until 2014, when elections were held.
