Saint Lucia is an island within the Lesser Antilles Island chain situated geographically north of St Vincent and the Grenadines and south of Martinique.

St Lucia has confirmed recent cases of Dengue and a risk of ongoing Chikungunya and Zika virus transmission. Travellers should take meticulous anti-mosquito bite measures during the daytime. Pregnant women and those considering becoming pregnant should avoid travel to the country.
There is risk of African Tick-Bite fever present in St Lucia. Travellers who participate in outdoor activities in rural regions of endemic areas should take measures to prevent tick bites.
A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is only required from travellers coming from a country with risk of Yellow Fever transmission.
The cases of Schistosomiasis were reported from the quarters of Labourie, Micoud and Vieux Fort. Avoid swimming in fresh water, such as lakes, rivers, ponds, and wetlands and eating raw foods which have not been washed with purified water.
The cost of health care is high, and you should ensure that you are covered by comprehensive health insurance as this will prove essential should a medical evacuation prove necessary.
You should endeavour to bring all medication in clearly labelled containers, along with the prescriptions. Wear a medical alert bracelet if you suffer from allergies.
Pass
Most visitors require a passport to enter St. Lucia. The only exceptions are Canadian and American nationals, provided they have valid proof of their identity as well as return tickets out of the country.

It is also the case that many visitors will not require a visa to enter St. Lucia for a duration of stay from 6 weeks to 90 days, depending on nationality.
