St Vincent and the Grenadines is formed of some 30 islands, which in turn constitute part of the Lesser Antilles island chain. Situated geographically south of St Lucia and north of Grenada, the islands constitute part of the eastern division between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. The 389sq.km territory consists of two thirds of the Grenadines with Saint Vincent being the largest of the inhabited islands.

Travelers are advised to consult a travel health specialist or general practitioner (GP) to obtain the latest information regarding what vaccines are recommended about 4-8 weeks prior to departing for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Make sure you are up-to-date on routine vaccines before your trip. The CDC and WHO recommend the following ones: hepatitis A, hepatitis B, typhoid, yellow fever, rabies, meningitis, polio, measles, mumps and rubella (MMR), Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis), chickenpox, shingles, pneumonia and influenza
There is a risk of ongoing Chikungunya, Dengue and Zika virus transmission in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Travelers should take anti-mosquito bite measures during the daytime. Pregnant women and those considering becoming pregnant should avoid travel to the country.
A Yellow Fever vaccination certificate is only required from travelers coming from a country with risk of Yellow Fever transmission.
There is risk of African Tick-Bite fever present in Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Travelers who participate in outdoor activities in rural regions of endemic areas should take measures to prevent tick bites.
Tuberculosis is endemic in Saint Vincent & the Grenadines.
There is one large hospital in Kingstown, considered to be the only adequate one on the country. In addition, there are five district rural hospitals, 38 health centres and clinics spread around other towns and islands (except Mayreau)
As facilities are limited, serious medical problems may require evacuation to another island or the USA. Many doctors and hospitals will expect payment in cash, regardless of whether you have travel health insurance, therefore health insurance with emergency repatriation is highly recommended.
Pass
Passports must be valid for six months beyond intended length of stay and there must be both proof of return, accommodation and economic means to support oneself while in the country.
Length of stay is determined by immigration on arrival, when necessary. Upon departure, a EC$40 fee is charged, typically included in the flight costs..
Visum
For most countries, no visas are required for entry into Saint Vincent and the Grenadines.
